I thought I'd show you all what's been keeping me up late at night. This is the creation we have been working on. I'll detail more later just wanted to give you an idea. We should be brewing on this in another 6 months or so. Who ever said beer brewing was easy!!! It is as long as you keep your hobby simple! |

We completed our Homebrewing Class through Piedmont Valley Community College today. Without the help of Jeff and Chris the class would not have gone as smoothly as it did. We brewed five batches of beer to include: Cooper Draught Can Scottish Ale Wheat Beer Pale Ale Oatmeal Stout Thank you to all who participated, helped out at the store (Tim and the Wine Wench) and especially Bob who was instrumental in getting the material and items for the class prepared and organized. |

March 23 - We have been working really hard to get our ABC License for our anniversary event we wanted to host on the 4th of April. It is our 1 year anniversary and we really wanted to do something special for our loyal customers. We had the catering set up and just wanted to taste and serve a little homemade wine and beer. The ABC Special Agent has denied the request because it is a public venue and we are not a licensed winery or brewery. It is just so frustrating that our alcohol laws in Virginia stop us from doing these kinds of events. We would be much more prosperous if when people came into the store they could taste our wine and beer. Sorry folks, we are still examining something to do for April 4, 2009 and we guarantee whatever it is, it will be sure to knock your socks off! |
